At Least 4 Brambling in with 20 Chaffinch in the beeches which back onto the East Fields.
8 Lapwing in North Field
70 Bh Gulls on Reservoir
8 Meadow Pipits in East Field
1 Stonechat on north reservoir wall

Shelduck/ Curlew

A great Morning 2 Shelduck on West Shore with 2 Goldeneye Male and female
4 Teal and 14 Goosander and 5 Mallards
Good Movement of Meadow Pipits in the first hour with up to 30 sat on East Wall.
North Field
Female Stonechat in North Field, 3 Skylark
C 200 Lapwing and 20 Golden Plover.
Fieldfare Redwing and 4 Reed Bunting.
1 Curlew flew from West right over reservoir calling going North East.

Good Morning




Got up to reservoir about 10:30. The Fog was just clearing, 2 Lesser Black Back Gulls flew in followed by 4 Herring Gulls. There was over 100 lapwing on the North Shore with 200+ BH Gulls and 4 Mallards on the reservoir. By 10:45 Golden Plover started arriving from the East and settling in the North Field i counted 64, yesterday afternoon there was over a 100. 8 Snipe flew out of North Field on to the North Shore. 3 Skylark calling going over North field also 4 Meadow Pipits,1 female Stonechat, 5 Reed Buntings.
Feeding station quite busy with 15 Goldfinch, 8 Greenfinch, 4 Chaffinch, 4Dunnoch, 2 Blue Tits, pair of Blackbirds, 1 Pied Wagtail and 3 Long Tailed Tits

55 Finches at Feeding Station



The Cold weather is bringing them in now, 22 Goldfinch, 26 Greenfinch, 7 Chaffinch, 3 Reed Bunting, 2 Blackbirds, 3 Dunnock, 2 Blue tits, 1 Pied Wagtail, 1Wren and a pheasant.
I could only count 23 Golden Plover in North field as the fog was bad.
Also 5 Snipe off reservoir into East field.

Golden Plover return

This week has seen the return of Golden Plover to the North Fields in big numbers, up to 300 yesterday and 250 today, also good numbers of Lapwing over a hundred yesterday. The Sparrow hawk is still visiting the feeding station and with this snap of cold weather up to 50 finches somedays with the Goldfinch flock reaching 25 in number. 2 Teal on North shore today plus a female Goosander.
Female Stonechat on reservoir wall with up to 5 Reed Buntings.
