Shoveler Duck

A Phone call from John Watson at 08:00 telling me there were 3 Male Shoveler ducks on ringstone . Got up there for 08:10 and they were quite close in . A Nice record for December.

The rest of the week has seen the feeders busy with all the usual and the bossy Pied Wagtail is back chasing all the chaffinches away. Stonechats still about all week sometimes in the willows on North Shore sometimes up near the Keepers House. 9 Golden Plover Yesterday with 100s of Bh Gulls and Common Gulls. Up to 8 Goosander in the evenings numbers down on the 35 we were getting last December.
