2 NEW VISITORS TO FEEDING STATION

After a great morning over at Audenshaw reservoir, getting shots of 2 Gt Northern Diver plus Black tailed Godwit , numerous Goldeneye, pintail, pochard, tufted and a few more. I called in to ringstone about 13.30. There was a pair of Wigeon on the reservoir , always nice to see. I drove round to the feeding station and noticed about 20 Chaffinch on the nyger seed . I parked up and with in 10 minutes i had up 40 finches, Gold ,Green and Chaffinch on the nyger. Looking at the bush with the feeders in there were 2 Reed Bunting both female and above them my first Brambling on the feeding station, chuffed to bits . Hopefully more will come down from Krumlin as it get colder. Then for about 5 mins a Weasel appeared and was quite happy to run about right near my car.

Sparrow Hawk in thick fog

It has been a busy month for me and I have been to ringstone every other day ,having a quick look and filling the feeding station . There has been a lack of birds both on the reservoir and on the feeding station. But today good numbers of Finches on Nyger and on feeders.

15 Chaffinch
9 Goldfinch
8 Greenfinch
the colder weather must be bringing them in .
2 Reed Bunting ,
2 Gt Tits,
3 Blue tits and a Pied Wagtail.

Over 40 Common Gulls and 130+ BH Gulls on the reservoir.
2 Golden Plover and 12 Snipe in North Field flushed by Sparrow Hawk.
8 Brambling still in Krumlin
