Very Quite

I have been up to ringstone every week day last week and this. Never known it so quite. Very few birds coming to feeders. Stonechats still about in West Fields no sign of Golden Plover numbers getting above 30, no sign at all this week. Also no Ducks, last year we had Teal on the east pool nearly all winter. A few Goosander have been seen coming in at dusk but not in any numbers. 8 Snipe flew into west pools on Tuesday and no sign of lapwing either.
Gull numbers are about the same with Black Headed around about 140 and Common between 8- 19 on some days. The Brambling at Krumlin are still showing well with up to 15 yesterday.
Got excited about 3 bullfinch on bushes on southshore on Tuesday, things can only get better.
