Ringstone edge reservoir
Ringstone edge reservoir is a small Upland reservoir situated 1000 Ft above Sea level in the Pennines of West Yorkshire, England. In 2004 Halifax Bird Watching Club, received funding to improve the habitat on the North shore for wading birds. In October of that year, work began on some new pools and scrapes. Hopefully the new pools will encourage the Birds to stay a bit longer and possibly breed. This Blog is about the Daily sightings of Wild Birds at Ringstone Edge.

We did talk about a screen for the approach to the hide but decided against it, this is the first example of birds being flushed by someone going to the hide I've heard of, perhaps we need to think again?
may be as it was so foggy the snipe were all out on the bank so as soon as i got near they were off, i mentioned it to john and he said that it was an idear some sort of netting on posts that could be removed for access
As long as it can stand the wind we get up there!
