Common Scoter and ?
Common Scoter on reservoir today with a different Scaup? not conviced, thought it was a Female Tufted Duck. Not an expert on any bird but just seemed to have start of crest. I waited to see if they would come in close and they did for about 5 mins so i got some better shots. Any Comments welcome

No, I'm affraid it is a female Tufted Duck...I think. It doesn't lok right to be a Scaup as the flanks are the same colour as the rest of the body, a imm/1stw Scaup would show definate contrast, and a female Scaup would show a lot more white around the base of the Bill
