Ringstone edge reservoir

Ringstone edge reservoir is a small Upland reservoir situated 1000 Ft above Sea level in the Pennines of West Yorkshire, England. In 2004 Halifax Bird Watching Club, received funding to improve the habitat on the North shore for wading birds. In October of that year, work began on some new pools and scrapes. Hopefully the new pools will encourage the Birds to stay a bit longer and possibly breed.This Blog is about the Daily sightings of Wild Birds at Ringstone Edge.

Grey Plover

08:10>12:00. 14 Degrees, strong West Wind.

1 Grey Plover on Reservoir in North East Corner, Stayed there untill 11:15 then flew in front of Hide, Lrp chased the plover around for a bit then it flew back to North East Corner.

Also

4 Lrp , 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Female Mallard.

On Feeders

4 Linnets

4 Goldfinch

12 Greenfinch

1 Dunnock
